AMMONOOSUC REGION ARTS COUNCIL- How are we???
Incorporated in the state of NH as a not-for-profit Corporation 3/12/1992. Obtained federal 501(c)(3) non-profit status for income purposes 6/15/1993.
Opened the ARTS Gallery on Lisbon's Main Street, May 2002, with the generous support of the Woodsville Guaranty Bank; this cooperative gallery features works of the artists from the North Country of Northern New Hampshire and Vermont's North East Kingdom, offering various arts classes and opportunity to the creative spirit of community members of all ages. NH Main Street Center Resource Team targeted the ARTS Gallery as the potential "Anchor store" for the Down Town Lisbon area.
Instituted the Fall Festival of the Arts in the year 2000 and enjoys ongoing success. It was also mentioned in the report of the NH Main Street Resource Center Team as a measure to restore the Downtown area of Lisbon.
